Apps That You Can Make Money Using

Apps to make money? What are your current favorites.

I have a long train commute every morning. I'm particularly interested in games (less boring) where you can win prizes etc... Essentially I need a new hobby that I can do on my phone in 1.5 hour increments.

Any help would be appreciated.

Vestly is an app that simulates stock trading. While the trading is simulated, and it doesn't cost anything to purchase stock, they offer a variety of real-cash prizes for top performing portfolios at the end of the month.

I think there's an added value in that you learn about stock-investing in the the process. Additionally the money you "lose" is all fake.

Stock trading in real life and picking a top performing portfolio with no risk of loss are pretty different. If your goal is to maximize potential return, you will just pick the riskiest stocks with pie in the sky potential (like biotech companies with unvetted products). In real life, we care about minimizing loss and hence would invest in a diversified portfolio of stable companies.

Feel free to use the app but just wanted to call out that you should not invest your savings the same way.

My friend is currently developing an app called [mathmoola] (www.mathmoola.com) where you can make money by performing simple math questions and the top 40% of the fastest get 150% of their money back. There is a buy in for as low as $2 but if you think you're good enough then you can put in more.

A little late but, how does it make money? Haven't checked out the app yet because I'm in lecture, but does it just explain that there?

Are there any passive apps for iOS? I had been running Rewardable TV but apparently that got pulled from iOS as there's no more videos loading and everyone reports it doesn't work any more.

I had used Perk a while back but that dropped my earnings down to almost nothing which is why I switched to Rewardable in the first place. Just curious if anyone has any other apps that just play videos on the side where you don't have to interact with the phone all the time.

Not for everyone, but I find Mturk to be entertaining. You can get like $6-8 an hour
